Collegiate Staff Positions


University of Oregon. Director of Sports Nutrition. 9/15/14

This position coordinates nutrition education and athletic training table to provide sound nutritional meals specific to goals of individual athletes and sports. This position assists with on-campus recruiting activities and outlines specific information regarding the department's nutrition program. Responsible for promotion of the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA.

University of Oregon. Nutrition Operations Manager (2 positions). 8/25/14 
Primary responsibilities include: maintain par level of product at each nutrition bar location, monitor inventory, communicate inventory levels, supervise day to day operations at nutrition bars, report to sports dietitians regarding nutrition therapy concerns of student athletes, 
maintain testing data/spreadsheets, communicate test results to nutrition staff, interpret test results, keep master testing schedule and exemplify the philosophy of Oregon sports nutrition.  
Requirements: Associates degree in nutrition or health science related field preferred. Registered dietitian not required. Must possess a strong background in sports nutrition as well as experience in culinary arts and event catering. Experience in sports nutrition a Division I football program required; preferably from a BCS Conference. Experience with multiple sports is also strongly desired.

Collegiate Faculty Positions

University of Georgia. Assistant or Associate Professor, Department of Foods and Nutrition. 9/9/2014
The University of Georgia has announced a 9-month, tenure-track sports nutrition faculty position opening. Responsibilities include developing a nationally recognized and extramurally funded research program, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in nutrition, advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, serving as the Director for the Area of Emphasis in Sport Nutrition and servicing the public, the university, the department, and profession. All applicants must have a PhD in nutrition or closely related scientific field and have potential for, or be, national recognized for expertise related to sports nutrition.  For the assistant professor position, one year of post-doctoral experience is preferred. For the associate professor position, at least three years of teaching and research experience is required.

The position will be responsible for the research strategy around a new venture that will expand our ability to upgrade more lives. The candidate will work as a member of an integrated team and will play a key role in product development, in product research and in actively pursuing grants in the world of performance with a focus on performance nutrition. IMG Academy. Contract Nutrition Position. 10/16/14
IMG Academy has multiple contract positions available for the NFL combine prep program. Typically the program dates range from December 29th through February 25th. New staff training is expected to be held December 14-16 in order to assist with staff coverage during the holidays. Stipends will vary and are dependent on the number of positions. Housing is not included but will be considered part of the stipend. Candidates will be connected with other staff to minimize housing costs.

U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. Olympic Education Program Lead. 8/15/14
USADA is seeking a program lead to serve as a primary contributor to develop and implement educational initiatives to ensure the USADA Registered Testing Pool (RTP) athletes, coaches, NGBs and athlete support personnel receive communication and educational resources to ensure compliance. This position serves as a lead project manager for specific education projects, including multimedia and online education.

USADA is seeking a strategist to be responsible for coordinating, and developing content and content strategy designed to inspire future generations of athletes by championing a positive youth sport experience. The TrueSport Editor will collaborate with a  team of content contributors and web and social media professionals to produce material from multiple sources for online delivery and monitoring.

USOC. Sports Nutrition Intern Volunteer. 7/30/14
USOC is looking for an intern to assist in the day-to-day execution of nutrition services for residential athletes, traveling athletes and staff at the the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center. Requires time commitment of at least eight hours per week for at least 6 months and RD credential or student pursuing BS or MS in nutrition sciences/dietetics.

International Positions


The University of British Columbia. Dual Position: Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Nutrition and Sports Dietitian. 9/16/2015
The part-time lecturer in sport and exercise nutrition position is to be paired with a part-time sports dietitian position in athletics and recreation. The successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of the time working in the School of Kinesiology and the other 50% of the time working as an applied sports dietitian for the department of athletics and recreation. 
Part-time 12-month lecturer position: Applicants must have earned an MSc and/or PhD in nutrition, exercise science or a closely related area. The successful candidate will mainly teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sports and exercise nutrition.
Sports dietitian position: Applicants must have earned a BSc in dietetics or nutritional science as well as the IOC diploma in sports nutrition. Applicants must also be a registered dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of BC, be a member of Dietitians of Canada and hold professional liability insurance. The successful candidate will provide nutrition consultation services to athletes.

ACEND Internship Opportunities with Specialization in Sports Nutrition

Ohio State University Medical Dietetics is approved to offer two internships to specialize in Sports Nutrition while accomplishing the ACEND Internship requirements to qualify to take the National Registration exam.  Interns will work in a variety of rotations to accomplish the required objectives, but the experience will focus on sports nutrition opportunities at the university, in the community and schools, as well as food service in athletics.  Only students intending  a career in sports nutrition should apply to this specific program.  Applications are accepted through DICAS using matching code 704.  This is a MS Combined program and students are required to finish the Masters.  Click here to learn more.
